#20: Parade of the Wooden Soldiers - The Crystals

This is the first of two songs on this displaying the insane genius of Phil Spector.  Regardless of the fact that he's completely out of his mind, the man knew how to produce a song.
I've always loved this one, and if you've never seen the Rockettes perform at Radio City Music Hall for their Christmas Spectacular, you should see it before you die.
Anyway, this version of this song takes me back to one of those happy childhood fantasies about your toys coming to life.  This entire album was on high-rotation at our home during Christmas, so it always takes me back to being a kid and that anticipation of Christmas morning.
Additionally, I was on the radio with my father on Christmas Eve in 1982 (which we still have a recording of) and this was one of the songs played and discussed on the air.

Here's a link to the song.
