#15: Merry Christmas Baby - James Brown

There are several great versions of this song out there.  Namely, Otis Redding & Bruce Springsteen's versions (Bruce's is essentially a cover of Otis's version).  But what I love about James Brown's version is the fact that although it's a relatively happy song, The Godfather slows the tempo down and makes it a bit more melancholy.  I especially love the lyric about not having a toddy this morning, but being lit up like a Christmas tree.
